With almost fourteen years as an entrepreneur in Mobile technology, Jason Hope has been an edge in technology and also within computer information systems. He has had many popular publications. One of them was the Five Predictions of the Internet of Things, another was The Security Risks of the Internet of Things, and another example is Can the Internet of Things Live Up to Its Hype? There are several articles as well. In the Five Predictions article, he wrote about how there will be several billions of devices that are connected, and that hackers are going to use sophisticated and even crude malware to initiate Distributed Denial of Service attacks. He mentioned that to become more efficient, cities, in general, will become more connected through technology, and an example of this was bicycle stations where one could rent a bicycle for a day or a few hours. He warned that artificial intelligence is happening. He said that this is happening because computer programming is helping a computer focus on and learn from the data it receives, which could make a lot of nightmarish scenarios from movies come true in the not so distant future. Something interesting that he mentioned is that routers are quite open to attacks as they are an entry point to the Internet to one’s home. This brings on a need for routers to be smarter in the future, and more secure as well.
Jason Hope believes in the Internet and the ever-changing and evolving face of technology. His research shows that as we become intelligent, hackers do as well, in addition to technological devices themselves. Embracing smart technology is inherently embracing the future, according to Jason Hope, and we have no reason to not trust someone with his professional background and education in the emerging world of internet, computers and technology.
